In order to quantitatively analyse the energy saving effect of passive technologies under different climate conditions, divides the Yangtze River basin into four primary zones and seven secondary zones by calculating the coefficient of variation of climatic indexes, and adopting the heating degree hours (HDH16) and the cooling degree hours (CDH28) as the first grade indexes, the total irradiance on the southern vertical surface in the coldest month and the dehumidification degree hours as the second grade indexes. Dynamically simulates the energy saving effect of exterior wall insulation, energy efficient windows, shading devices and natural ventilation for each subarea using the EnergyPlus software. Calculates the non-heating and air conditioning hours for each passive technology. Obtains the suitability of single and integrated passive technologies in different cities and gives the optimal ranking, which provides a reference for the application of passive technologies in the Yangtze River basin.
